At times it is possible to look out from that natural balcony perfumed with fragrant algae and the saltiness of the rocks, and from that ancient, sloping wall which encircles the coast, in the distance, one can catch sight against the remarkable splendour of a clear blue sky, the evanescent peaks of Calabria and alongside dmire, as though held in a sudden embrace, the coast line traced in a radiant light on the horizon.In the evening there is the pleasure of admiring the sun as it slowly sinks towards.The cobalt sea which gently ripples with an emerald gleam under the gentle sea breeze while the flame red of its soul as though depicted in a fresco, evaporates towards the heavens with a boundless force. In the opposite direction, in the dying glow of twilight, uselessly abandoned on an island consumed by wind and salt, the ravenous wild rabbit struggles for survival against the barren turfs of earth soaked in salt and Mediterranean fragrance and where one can clearly see the great, white shining form of the light house on Sant’Andrea.  |
